2023: Grateful to receive an Award by HKIA

We are honored to receive this award from the Hong Kong Institute of Architects for our Niseko ski chalet. The project celebrates the alpine context—snow, timber and sky—and reflects close collaboration between architecture and interior design.

Our interior design focused on light and material to connect occupants with the landscape. A layered lighting strategy—large glazed openings, skylights and warm, concealed fixtures—lets natural moods dominate by day and creates a cozy, intimate atmosphere at night. Material choices—locally sourced timber, stone and simple finishes—retain tactile warmth and reference regional craft, while a restrained palette keeps the landscape as the main protagonist.
